Overheating
We inspect for proper coolant flow in the system. The radiator fan operation is monitored. Inspection can also be performed for compromised cylinder head gasket. Coolant leaks are detected.
INFORMATION
A vehicle can overheat for several reasons; lack of coolant or oil flow is the most common reason. Oil will not flow if there is not sufficient quantity in the motor or the oil flow passages are restricted. Coolant will not flow if the radiator is partially restricted, cooling thermostat is malfunctioning, water pump is failing and the radiator fan can no longer move the air. Another reason for overheating can be a cylinder head gasket leaking to the combustion chamber.
