Rebuilding a complete motor in a repair shop is no longer a commonality. Industry standard is to remove the old motor and replace it with a like kind new or a remanufactured motor. There are several excellent engine beguilers in America. Most have an engine in their warehouse to ship at a short notice. You have the choice of purchasing a factory or an independent manufacturers motor. Most motors have a 3 years and 100K mile warranty. When an engine is replaced it is recommended that all old related parts also are replaced to protect the replacement motor. Motor replacement today is as common as having your tooth pulled.
